This a non-isolated 20 amp DC-DC converter and is made for use in negative ground systems. The price is good but know that you'll need to order the remote separately.This compact step-down DC-DC converter has an input voltage of 24 VDC nominal (range 20 VDC to 37 VDC) to a highly regulated output voltage of 12 VDC nominal at 20 Amps.

I did verify with Progressive Dynamics that the unit has a valid serial # and is warrantied, and they are sending me a remote pendant. Just be aware that the unit as sold from this company is not in a retail box and does not include the remote pendant. The PD 9280 is a top of the line converter, so no worries there. I was tired of boiling the batteries so this new one will not do that any more, also it fit right back where the old one was, I just wish that it came with the Line detector that I can watch what it is doing. I bought this to replace the old one that I burned out by plugging my motorhome in with an extension cord. The last unit was 12 yrs old so hopefully this one will also last a long time.

Same foot print so the install was very quick and easy. I had to make an adapter plug since the new one has a 20 Amp plug and the old one a 15 Amp. Replaced the 9000 series in my 1984 Holiday Rambler Motorhome. I intend on sending rvpartsnation an email regarding the 2nd issue.

2) there was no serial number anywhere on the unit. 1) the lower bolt hole through the fan housing was broken because it didn't line up straight with the fins. It works great! I have only 2 issues with it. I had been jumping my batteries with my truck to keep them charged and was very happy when this part came. If it hadn't got wet it would still be working today. This I was a replacement for a like unit that was damaged through no fault of it's own. Company was unexpectedly closed Sept 23-30. Only issue I had was it Took 10 day to ship. Batteries were fully charged, lights glowed. Plugged into power and everything fired up as expected. Note: Units manufactured after December 29 of 2021 have 2 stages. Connected unit to battery positive, negative and ground wires. Removal or alteration of converter 20 Amp power cord will void warranty. Received the box in very good condition, installed the converter works great!
